Universitaly pre-enrolment for non-EU students must be completed by the deadline published by the Italian Ministry of Education (MUR). For this cycle the deadline is 30 November 2026. Always confirm on Universitaly and your university portal.

Study visa checklist — Italian Embassy Islamabad

Typical documents for study visa applications via the Italian Embassy Islamabad track. The embassy may update the list — confirm before filing.

· Visa application form in English or Italian (block capitals), signed and dated
· Two recent colour passport photos (white background); one glued on the form
· Passport valid at least 18 months from application date, machine-readable, 2 blank pages + previous passports
· Acceptance / enrolment letter stating course duration and start date
· Form A (pre-enrolment) with photo if pre-enrolment is required
· If an entry test is required in Italy: short Schengen C-type may apply instead of long-stay D-type — follow the acceptance letter
· Degree + transcript and related certificates attested by HEC/IBCC and MOFA (QR/apostille) + copies
· Written confirmation whether Dichiarazione di Valore (DOV) is required; if yes, DOV request form + DOV checklist docs
· Tuition fee payment receipts if required
· Economic file: sponsor affidavit, bank statement + bank letter, relationship proof, 2 years tax returns, income proof
· IELTS or other English certificate if required + copy
· Family Registration Certificate (NADRA) + copy
· Board and lodging proof in Italy
· Flight booking (round-trip for ≤90 days; one-way for longer stay)
· Travel medical insurance (min. €30,000) — 1 year for D-type or 15 days for C-type

Pre-enrolment, CIMEA & study visa — Karachi consulate notes

Guidance aligned with Consulate of Italy Karachi information for university pre-enrolment and study visa (confirm each academic year).

1.Register on Universitaly and keep the registration receipt.
2.Obtain a CIMEA comparability certificate when required (many universities accept CIMEA instead of DOV).
3.Book BLS Italy Karachi for residents of Sindh and Balochistan only.
4.Submit the study visa file ideally at least 90 days before classes start, and within the MUR / Universitaly window for your cycle (for 2026 track: by 30 November 2026 unless your mission publishes a different cut-off).

Karachi study visa documents

· Signed application form + two white-background photos
· CNIC copy (Sindh / Balochistan residents)
· Motivational letter for study visa
· Individual medical insurance (€30,000+, 1 year for D-type) — no family/group policies
· Confirmed flight booking
· Accommodation for at least 45 days (campus, rental, hotel, or dichiarazione di ospitalità)
· Universitaly pre-enrolment letter
· CIMEA comparability / equivalency certificate when required
· Educational originals apostilled by MOFA Karachi/Quetta + photocopy set
· Tuition / registration payment receipts if required
· Subsistence proof in PKR (6-month bank statement + AMC of personal/parents’ PK account; foreign sponsorship alone is often not accepted)
· Sponsor affidavit, salary evidence, 2 years tax returns, FRC relationship proof
· Repatriation means / return ticket proof
· Valid passport (validity rules as published) + copies of prior visas

Common visa file items (post-admission)

· Visa application form + data form
· CNIC copy
· Admission / acceptance letter
· DOV and/or CIMEA as required
· Attested educational documents + copies + authorised Italian translations
· Forms A & C
· Polio certificate (as required)
· IELTS / English certificate if required by the university or mission
· Dummy / reservation ticket (often dated about one month after application)
· Accommodation proof (e.g. booking.com reservation for at least one month)
· Full Schengen travel insurance (not single-country only)
· Sponsor affidavit of support + sponsor ID
· Sponsor bank statement and account maintenance certificate
· Family Registration Certificate (FRC) from NADRA
· Original passport + photocopies
· CV
· White-background photos
· Optional: course contents verified by your previous university
